 Manuel Portela, Jr.,
Esq. is a graduate of Fordham University and American University
Law School.
He is admitted to the New York Bar, New Jersey Bar, and U.S. District Court (First and
Second Departments). After graduating from law school, Mr. Portela commenced
his legal career working as an Assistant District Attorney at the King's
County District Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, New York. During his tenure as
an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Portela received extensive training and
instruction in the Criminal Court Bureau, Early Case Assessment Bureau, Grand
Jury Bureau, Felony Investigations Bureau, and Supreme Court Bureau. He tried
numerous Felony and Misdemeanor trials, and resolved thousands of cases
through effective plea negotiations.
After working many years as an Assistant District Attorney and in private
practice, Manuel Portela established The Portela Law Firm, P.C. expanding his
area of practice to include: Personal Injury, Civil Rights, Contested and
Uncontested Divorces, Commercial Organization and Disputes, Real Estate, and
Administrative Law (including Vehicle and Traffic Regulations, Alcohol and
Beverage Control, Department of Consumer Affairs, Fire Regulations, Building
Regulations, Environment Regulations, and Taxi and Limousine Commission
Regulations).
Mr. Portela started the Portela Law Firm, P.C. with the aim
of fighting hard to protect the interests of his clients while at the same
time providing professional, courteous, and efficient legal counsel and
representation.

Bradley D. Shaw is an associate with
The Portela Law Firm, P.C. Mr. Shaw practices in the areas of family
and matrimonial law, landlord/tenant, real estate and commercial leasing, as
well as, immigration and general business law and transactions.
He is licensed to practice law in the States of New York
and New Jersey, as well as, the United States
District Courts for the Eastern and Southern District of New York. Mr. Shaw
received his Bachelor’s of Science from New
York University and
his Juris Doctorate from New York Law
School where he was a
member of the Moot Court Association. He is an active member of
the New York Law School
Alumni Association and currently serves as Secretary. He has been a
long standing member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Mr. Shaw started his legal career in Jackson Heights, Queens and Manhattan where he
operated his own law office for several years. He presently practices
in the five boroughs of New York City as well
as New Jersey.

Fernando C. Rivera is
an associate with The Portela Law Firm, P.C. Mr. Rivera currently
practices in a variety of areas including family law and Immigration. He is
licensed to practice law in the State of New York
and currently practices in the five boroughs of New York City.
Mr. Rivera received his Bachelor’s of Science from the University of
Dayton in Dayton, Ohio and his Juris Doctorate from
the University at Buffalo Law School where he was a member of the Criminal Law
Society, Moot Court Board and the Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity.
During his time in law
school, Mr. Rivera worked for the New York State Liquor Authority, the
Erie County Surrogate Court Judge Barbara Howe, and for a general practice
law firm. After law school, Mr. Rivera worked for an immigration law
firm, the Journey's End Refugee Services Inc., and the Niagara
County District Attorney's Office.

Branch at 177 Wadsworth Avenue
in Manhattan.
Ms. Duran provides paralegal support in areas of Civil, Family, Criminal
Defense and Commercial litigation.
Ms. Duran supervises staff members in completing daily responsibilities and
providing paralegal support to the firm‘s attorneys to ensure customer
satisfaction, reliable service with exceptional results. She also
facilitates the attorneys with uncontested divorces.
